Day 24 - Glamis, CA

And to complete our vacation...a trip to Glamis.

What would you do if your KTM broke down in the middle of the desert???

Do NOT try this at home, kids.

Day 17 - Bryce Canyon, UT

The condo-on-wheels on its way to Bryce Canyon, Utah.

Sean told me to stay in one spot, and he was going to go climb through the hole (underneath him on the left side of the picture) so I could take a picture of him. This was as close as he got.

If you look closely, you can see snow!

Does this count as snow?

Someone decided we should take a "back road" to get to our next destination - an adventure he called it!

60+ miles and 3 hours later, we found the end of our dirt road. I'm sure it's a beautiful drive in the daylight!

Day 14 - Grand Tetons and Jackson, WY

I was disappointed to not have seen any moose in Yellowstone, but low and behold, we found a pair in the Grand Tetons.

Who wouldn't want to bring this to Show and Tell on Monday?

A Doof-Dog's dream vacation.
Running free...
in the dirt,
mud
and water.

Day 9 Pocatello and Richfield, ID

The gang at Plume Gables.

Off to Richfield to visit family friends.
Sean got schooled by the girls.
Shelby and I went exploring.
We were trying to visit the abandoned house, but apparently we took a wrong turn and were separated from the house by the river.

The local swimmin' hole.

Day 8 - Pocatello, ID

I came around the corner to find that my husband and the plume had devised some sort of "throwing a large stick" game. Be sure to click on each pic to enlarge them. I have my own opinion, but I'll let you decide who has the better form!

Doof-Dog dwarfed by the landscape.

The delightful RW.

The hubby falls in love with guns all over again.
Sharpshooter Jillian.

The gang.

Day 5 - Elko, NV

What's a boy to do when the market is down 777 points?
Gamble our 77 dollars away in the middle of "Nowhere, Nevada" to hit a 777 on the slots.

Day 5 - Truckee River, CA

So many photos...so little internet access across
Nevada
Idaho
Montana
and Wyoming!

I imagine these are the kinds of sights Deefor Dog was taking in during our morning walk along the Truckee River. Nah, who am I kidding, all she cares about is, "SQUIRRELS!"

It's always good to leave Reno with more money than you came with.
Cha-ching!

Street Vibrations, a.k.a motorcycle mania.

Day 2 - Mammoth Hot Springs, CA

A good old fashioned cattle drive...

across the freeway.

One of Sean's favorite fishing spots - the Hot Springs in Mammoth.
I woke up in time to snap a photo of Sean fishing with little brown dog by his side (lower left hand corner) while 3 deer crossed the creek (upper right hand corner).

Doopaloop looking for fish.

On Vacation!

In typical Lorenz-fashion, we decided to go on a vacation.
Last minute.
With only a few certain destinations in mind.
For an unknown amount of time.
Day 1 highlights included a trip to Outdoor World / Bass Pro Shops / Islamorda Restaurant.
I highly recommend the free sugar encrusted bread. It's to-die-for.
